Our Story

Moab Diner's story began in the early 1960s as the Poor Boy Drive-Inn, a beloved local burger stop known for its affordable hamburgers and full-service car hops along Main Street. It quickly became a gathering place for friends, families, and high school sweethearts, creating memories that many locals still fondly share today.

In the late 1970s, the diner evolved into the Grand Ice Cream Parlour, transforming from a drive-in into a full-service restaurant. With breakfast added to the menu and an ice cream counter that still stands today, it became a welcoming coffee shop and community staple.

In 1993, Geoff and Teri Thomas purchased the restaurant and developed what is now known as Moab Diner. Through thoughtful improvements and the dedication of staff, family, and friends, they built a place rooted in quality, consistency, respect, and a comfortable atmosphere.

In 2019, Justin and Hanah Cosenza became the third generation of owners, continuing the family tradition on Main Street of Moab. Alongside the Moab Diner team, they remain committed to preserving its history while welcoming new generations of guests.

From all of us at Moab Diner, thank you for being part of our story. We hope you enjoy every visit.
